Particularly interesting association copy bearing the engraved ex-libris bookplate of noted sporting-book collector C. F. G. R. Schwerdt (1862–1939). Also bears an early ownership inscription dated 4 September 1856.
Includes the large folding map of Cranborne Chase, engraved frontispiece and original tipped-in errata
condition. Antique condition with age-related wear. Original cloth/binding worn and faded, particularly at head of spine. Please study photographs carefully. Folding map survives remarkably well for its age but shows the expected folds. No attempt has been made to restore or improve the book.
