Antique Enameled Sterling Silver Yarn Holder Bracelet American * Circa 1900 This sterling silver bracelet has a clip-on attachment that was used to hold a ball of yarn or thread for knitting or crochet. The rounded tab at the bottom of the post kept the yarn ball in place. This tab is beautifully enameled in aqua blue with a guilloche pattern engraved underneath. The silver is not marked, but both the yarn holder and the bracelet test solid sterling silver. The post hooks to the bracelet with a
jewelry style spring clasp and is removed so the ball of yarn can slide
on. The
condition is excellent with no dents
or other damage and the enamel is perfect. The oval bracelet is
2 3/8" x 3" and the yarn attachment is 3 1/2" long.
