Tune is a long-established base brand based in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Since its founding in 1983, it has been loved by many bassists.
This is an 8-string bass, Zi3-8N.
This model was jointly developed with TUNE and Yoshihiro Naruse, bassist of Japan's leading fusion band, Cassiopeia.
By combining each main string with a double string (one octave higher), it produces gorgeous overtones and an overwhelming depth of sound similar to a 12-string guitar.
This is a very unique model that can add presence to your ensemble with just one piece.
The body is a multi-laminate construction with a Walnut/Padauk/Bubinga top and back and an African Mahogany core.
The neck is made of Hard Maple and the fingerboard is made of Ebony.
A neck-through structure that produces rich sustain and a hard wood construction provide both powerful bass and clear attack.
It brings out the rich sound unique to a double string bass.
The PU is EMG's JB type, and the preamp is equipped with TUNE GAP-1.
In addition to powerful, low-noise sound, the 3-band EQ and internal gain trim allow for a wide range of sound shaping.
It is a rare piece these days, with its unique look, high playability, and the level of perfection that can only be expected from a high-end Japanese bass.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The condition of the truss rod is good.

There are some small scratches on the body and painted surface, but there are no noticeable scratches or dents. There is noticeable dullness on the hardware.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The master volume and balancer knobs have been replaced.
