This is a rare, vintage, Cyclops brand Apollo 360 flashlight, long out of production, and collectable. It is very gently used and in like new condition.
The Cyclops "Apollo" series of LED lights has been updated and dramatically redesigned over the years. This is, I believe, the first iteration of the Apollo series. It is reasonably lightweight and pocket size with several functions.
The light has a rocker on/off switch on the tail and a folding, plastic hook, for hanging and use as a lantern. When the flashlight head is extended, the LED is exposed 360 deg. in the lantern mode and can be hung by the folding hook or stood, flat on the tail, as a table-top lamp. With the head closed, you have a hand-held flashlight with full beam out the front end.
The light is 4" long closed and 5" when extended in the lamp mode. The light is octagonal shaped, so it won't roll and is 1.25" in diameter. The body is black plastic with grey accents.
The light uses 3 x AAA, Alkaline batteries (NOT included). The battery compartment is exposed by turning the tail cap 1/8 turn counter- clockwise and lifting it off. Battery orientation is marked inside the compartment.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an older, first-generation flashlight, that is, as far as I can tell, not very bright by today's standards. I believe that the newer Apollo flashlights are 200 lumen or higher. I do NOT know the brightness (lumen) of this light, but with fresh batteries it was underwhelming. It is bright enough, I suppose, for occasional or emergency use.
The light is very well made and has a solid feel. It is an ideal size and easy to carry and store. This is a rare find and great collector item.
