For your consideration today is:

 A set of four vintage "Hens & Chicks" mugs, designed by Edgar Watkins, and produced by National Housewares (also known as Towle) in the 1970's. These were made in Taiwan.

The two sided design mugs feature a rounded white ceramic body with a black chicken dotted with white spots, a red comb and a yellow base.  They measure 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide.  

The design features a mother hen / chicken on one side and a small, newly hatched yellow chick on the reverse.
