Magic was happening in California between about 2012 and 2018...
A team of music and guitar-mad people, led by a super-cool guy called Daniel, started making these incredible hand-built pedalboards. The likes of which hadn't been seen before. 'Salvage Custom' used all kinds of reclaimed vintage fabrics for coverings and sourced their wood ethically and as locally as possible in the wilds of California – to make one-of-a-kind pedalboard designs. They came in various sizes and specs...
Circa 2013 'SALVAGE CUSTOM' Pedalboard, for Guitar (or Bass) players.
(Made in California, USA).
An awesome, super-cool looking, well-considered, very well built and robust bit of kit. Unused since new.
I didn't use enough pedal effects to warrant setting it up to use!
It has some signs of dust, discolouration/fade on the two-tone damask style vintage fabric. Mostly on the top and bottom sides. Otherwise it's as-new. Please look at all the detailed photos.
The Pedalboard component semi-hinges at the bottom, allowing for a quick-release and quick put-away when loading and unloading the board. Very clever and practical.
45cm x 33cm usable board area.
Overall outer case dimensions: 51cm x 45cm x 17.5cm (approx)
The box shell case then gets put aside leaving the board and all your pedals and cables neat and tidy. The flight case style latches are super tough and work great. The whole thing looks incredible. No-one else will have a board like this! It is a unique one-off.
The Pedalboard surround is made from solid highly figured Cherry wood, which has tons of pattern, and flame. Colour is lovely - stunningly beautiful.
This board is a very usable size. Enough room on it for the essential pedals you really need.
Salvage Custom had a run of bad luck in terms of production, orders and staffing issues. As passionate as they were about making a fantastic product, they lacked the business savvy to continue. Sadly they went out of business a year or two before Covid-19.
At least two other companies (one in the UK) started doing pedalboards like this, having seen how incredible the work Daniel and his team at Salvage Custom were putting out.
Any questions please ask...
Happy to consider trades against cool pedal or vintage Gibson or Fender Strat part/s.
