Spawn #225 launches "De-Programmed" Part One while celebrating the milestone 225th issue of Todd McFarlane's legendary creator-owned series.
The issue became famous for its unusual connection to the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election, with alternate covers reflecting different election outcomes and future Spawn stories tied directly to the results.
Inside, Jim Downing uncovers new truths about his past as longtime villain Jason Wynn returns, setting the stage for major changes in the Spawn mythology.
Minimalist, unsettling, and instantly unforgettable.
Todd McFarlane fills the cover with a haunting close-up of Spawn's mask as a single drop of blood slowly falls across one glowing green eye. Combined with the bold newspaper-style election headline, the design creates one of the most distinctive and talked-about covers of the modern Spawn era.
Originally published in 2012, Spawn #225 celebrates another major milestone in one of the longest-running independent comic series ever created. Its unique election-themed concept and pivotal place in Jim Downing's story have made it a standout issue in the modern Spawn run.
