Here we have a vintage salesman's box of 21 ceramic hand painted French sample tiles by Geo Mart Desvres France. They come in a wooden carry box that the tiles slot into. This is a very rare item. A great item for a collector.
The tiles are in very good condition with no breaks. There are very slight signs of age/use related marks/production marks (see photos) but nothing that affects their use or beauty. The outer carry box does have some signs of storage related wear/marks and would have once had a sliding top.
Size of tiles 12.5cm x 12.5cm approx.
