Vintage ANRI hand-carved wooden enclosed Nativity scene, made in Italy.

Stars are slightly damaged so please see photos for reference. Item is priced for this.

This miniature Nativity is designed as a three-panel hinged shrine. When closed, the carved wooden panels form a compact pointed chapel or egg-shaped case. The two outer panels open to reveal the Holy Family beneath the Star of Bethlehem.

The interior features:

* Hand-carved Mary, Joseph and infant Jesus figures

* Raised Star of Bethlehem

* Small decorative star inlays on the doors

* Three hinged wooden panels

* Dramatic dark striped wood grain

* Contrasting lighter carved figures and manger

An exact example of this ANRI model has been located in a lighter wood variation with its original faded label reading “Nativity Enclosed, Anri Wood.” That matching example confirms the model and ANRI attribution. ANRI is a traditional woodcarving company based in Val Gardena, Italy.

Good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age. The hinged doors open and close properly, and the Nativity figures and overhead star appear complete. No major cracks or repairs observed. Please examine all photographs for the exact condition.

A beautiful compact collectible for ANRI, Italian woodcarving, miniature Nativity, Christmas, religious-art and folk-art collectors.
