Antique Coronation Commemorative Tape Measure

Circa 1902 * English

This little tape measure has a steel case and was made to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII and his Queen, Alexandra in 1902. The edge is stamped "Patent Appld. For". The back is an advertisement for a publication called Woman's Life. It was published every Tuesday and cost one penny. The sides with the photograph and advert look to be printed celluloid.

The woven tape is original and complete, and it is marked in inches. It pulls out easily and then zips back into the case when released. The tape measure is almost 1 1/2" in diameter. The condition is excellent with no dents, cracks or loss.
