A charming set of three antique glass sewing thimbles, dating to the early 20th century, comprising two examples in rich ruby-red glass and one in a softer amethyst-purple glass.

Each thimble follows the traditional tapered form with a flared lower edge and a rounded working top moulded with a dense pattern of small indentations. Although made from glass rather than metal, these pieces retain the familiar form of practical sewing thimbles and belong to an appealing area of historic needlework collecting.

The two ruby examples have particularly strong saturated colour, ranging from deep crimson to bright translucent red depending on the light. The third has a more restrained amethyst tone, appearing pinkish-purple where the glass is thinner and deeper plum around the thicker areas.
