Edward Herrmann was famous for playing Richard Gilmore in Gilmore Girls, portraying Franklin D. Roosevelt in historical projects, and his distinguished voice narration.  Franklin D. Roosevelt: Earned Emmy nominations for playing FDR in the miniseries Eleanor and Franklin (1976) and Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years (1977), and later reprised the role in Annie (1982) and Ken Burns' documentary The Roosevelts  Max the Vampire: Starred as the head vampire in the 1987 cult classic horror film The Lost Boys   Appeared in feature films including Reds, The Aviator, and The Wolf of Wall Street, and won a 1999 Primetime Emmy Award for a guest role on The Practice
