Vintage 11 Watch Dials Marconi Bloch Limit Precimax Preziosa Nilax Parts
🖋️ Description
A characterful mixed collection of 11 vintage round wristwatch dials, assembled from a variety of makers and styles and offered together as one specialist horology lot. The group includes several named examples alongside less readily identified dials, providing an attractive selection for restoration, reference, workshop stock or collecting.
Names represented include Marconi Bloch, Limit, Precimax, Preziosa, Nilax, Dilectra and Nijinsky, together with additional examples visible in the photographs. Several carry period technical inscriptions including 17 Jewels, 25 Rubis, Incabloc, Antichoc, Waterproof and Stossgesichert, reflecting the vocabulary commonly encountered on mid-century mechanical watch dials.
Particularly interesting are the two blue Marconi Bloch dials marked S F C Fairfield, each featuring applied baton hour markers and a framed date aperture. The Limit example has a darker graduated finish with applied indexes, date window and 17 Jewels Incabloc inscription, while the pale Precimax dial combines Arabic numerals with gilt-tone markers and a traditional Swiss watch aesthetic.
The Preziosa dial is especially decorative, with a warm champagne finish, stylised raised hour markers, Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 and inscriptions including Automatic, 25 Rubis and Stossgesichert. Elsewhere within the group are blue, turquoise, silver, brown and graduated metallic finishes, giving the lot considerable visual variety.
Several dials incorporate date apertures, while others retain simple central hand openings and applied hour furniture. The photographs of the reverse sides show the construction and surviving dial feet, together with substantial natural oxidation, discolouration and workshop patina accumulated through age and previous removal from watches.
These are loose vintage watch dials only. No movements, cases, hands, crowns, crystals or other watch components are included, and compatibility with any particular calibre or movement has not been established.
Condition
Vintage used condition throughout, with considerable variation between individual examples.
Visible age-related wear includes scratches, surface marks, oxidation, tarnishing, spotting, discolouration, fading and losses or deterioration to some printed and applied details. Several reverse surfaces show pronounced oxidation, staining and residue associated with age and previous watchmaking use.
Dial feet and rear fittings vary between pieces and should be assessed individually from the photographs. Some dials retain stronger colour and applied decoration than others, while several show heavier patination and surface deterioration.
These components are sold as vintage horological parts for collecting, restoration, study or creative reuse. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
