ORIENT Multi-Year Calendar Automatic Watch RN-BA0002E – Green

Orient officially launches the “Multi-Year Calendar” models from its contemporary collection in the Japanese domestic market. Previously available overseas, these two current models feature a unique display mechanism that shows year, month, date, and day of the week in an integrated way, combining the functional beauty of mechanical watches with Orient’s distinctive design. The characteristic calendar display and bold dial design enhance the enjoyment of looking at the watch and its visual appeal.

The first Multi-Year Calendar was born in the 1960s, and Orient has continuously produced models with bold and highly original designs. The next-generation models that appeared in the 1990s were equipped with the in-house Caliber 46 series and grew into a representative series of the brand.

The models now released in Japan adopt the in-house Caliber F6D22. The automatic movement includes hand-winding and hacking (seconds hand stop) functions. A see-through case back allows viewing of the precise mechanical movement from the reverse side.

The calendar adjustment mechanism inherits the original system that displays the calendar for approximately 20 years ahead by combining the “year (last two digits) and month” corresponding display at the 12 o’clock position with the “day of the week and date” at the 6 o’clock position. (Note: The calendar can currently display up to 2047. The displayable year range may change depending on the production period.) All calendar adjustments can be performed using only the crown.

The case diameter is 43.5mm. The narrow bezel ensures a wide dial area, and the large calendar displays provide high legibility. Three-dimensional large indexes and thick hands with facet finishing also give a strong impression along with excellent readability.

Dial color variations include Gold Gradation and Green, both paired with metal bracelets. The graduated dial enhances the unique calendar display while adding elegance to the wearer’s style, offering visual enjoyment and individuality.
