A custom model inspired by the 1968 D-45—the first year of the model's post-war reintroduction.
It features non-scalloped bracing, just like the original, delivering a powerful, robust sound with a solid core.
The top wood has undergone VTS (Vintage Tone System) processing, reproducing the mature, vintage tone of an instrument played in over many years.
The tone is smooth and rounded, outputting string vibrations fully to create a sound that is clear, deep, and possesses a "dry," aged character.
It boasts meticulous specifications that distinguish it from current models, including the "round-corner" headstock (a hallmark of the late-60s reissue era), a black pickguard, mother-of-pearl hexagon inlays, and gold-plated "milk-bottle" style tuning machines.
The top is made of Sitka spruce, an all-around performer that offers excellent note definition and chord cohesion during strumming.
Thanks to the VTS processing, the guitar offers quick note response and rich harmonics, allowing you to enjoy its lush resonance even with a gentle fingerstyle touch.
Indian rosewood is used for the back and sides.
Premium-grade woods have been carefully selected for the top, back, and sides.
While the original featured a non-adjustable square-tube (SQ) neck, this model incorporates an adjustable truss rod to meet modern needs, making it easy to adjust for changes in playing conditions.
Furthermore, the ultra-thin lacquer finish reproduces the authentic, resonant acoustic sound of a well-played vintage instrument.
This custom model takes the 1968 D-45 as its motif and adds a modern interpretation.
