LC404 Column-Type Load Cell: Overview of Four Models
I. General Product Overview
The LC404 is a complete column-type heavy-duty load cell module kit that comes equipped with upper and lower mounting flanges, guide and stop columns, and anti-offset rubber pads. Shipped as a fully modular unit, it can be directly welded or bolted to the bottoms of material tanks, silos, oil storage tanks, and reactors without requiring additional machining. It is primarily used for static load weighing and pressure measurement in the chemical, metallurgical, grain storage, asphalt tank, and concrete mixing plant industries.
The overall structure resists lateral forces and impacts, effectively preventing off-center loading errors caused by material swaying or vehicle impacts. The alloy steel base model offers excellent value for money, while the all-stainless steel version resists acid and alkali corrosion and is moisture- and rust-resistant, making it suitable for corrosive chemical environments. With a capacity range covering 10T–60T heavy-duty requirements, it provides stable signals and can be integrated with weighing indicators and PLC control systems to enable remote monitoring of material level and weight.

1. LC404 (10/20/25/30T) Standard Alloy Steel Model
A conventional heavy-duty load cell for small to medium tonnages, constructed from cost-effective alloy steel. Its load capacity range is suitable for weighing small to medium-sized grain silos, small oil storage tanks, and standard mixing vessels. With versatile installation options, it is ideal for static weighing in dry, non-corrosive environments such as factories, grain silos, and building material powder silos. This is the most commonly used basic tonnage specification in engineering applications.
2. LC404 (40/50/60T) Standard Alloy Steel Model
A high-capacity, heavy-duty alloy steel load cell with reinforced internal columns, offering a higher rated load capacity and superior resistance to heavy pressure and fatigue. It is primarily used for total weighing of large metallurgical silos, large-capacity oil storage tanks, heavy-duty reaction vessels, and large chemical storage tanks, and is suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications involving long-term, continuous operation at full load.
3. LC404 (10/15/20/30T) All-Stainless Steel Corrosion-Resistant Model
With the same capacity range as the first model (small to medium ranges), this version features a stainless steel sensor body, providing excellent resistance to water vapor, acids, alkalis, and chemical media corrosion. It is highly recommended for weighing liquid chemical storage tanks, wastewater treatment chemical tanks, damp outdoor silos, and tanks containing slightly corrosive materials, offering a longer service life.
4. LC404 (40/50/60T) All-Stainless Steel Corrosion-Resistant Model
A high-capacity stainless steel heavy-duty load cell that combines an ultra-high load capacity of 60 metric tons with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, representing the top-of-the-line industrial-grade version. Suitable for harsh environments such as metallurgical pickling tanks, storage tanks for corrosive chemical raw materials, large outdoor oil tanks, and metering tanks on offshore platforms, it delivers maximum heavy-duty capacity and corrosion resistance, ensuring excellent long-term stability under severe operating conditions.
