Installation of Rear Lift Gate Strut

1. Keep the tailgate door open on max height, remove inner trim panel.
2. Unplug plug, use tool to loose old spherical joint, insert new one.
3. Plug liftgate plug, recover inner trim panel.
4. Use diagnostic scanner to clear error code, clear if show negative/occasional; replace lift struts if show permanent.
5. Confirm L/R mark on struts before install

Methods to Active Tailgate Remote Function

• Push the trunk close button.
• Close the tailgate by hand slowly and push the trunk open button.
• Use diagnostic scanner to reset control module and push trunk close button.
• This is a non-OEM product, accessory only!
