This is a hand made wood cutting board in the shape of an apple. It was made by college students in the heart of Appalachia at Berea College, located in Berea, Kentucky.
They are nationally known for their free tuition and exceptionally skilled student workers. The hand painted scene features a cabin and barn located in the rolling hills of Kentucky along a river and adorned with local wildlife. The piece is signed B. Frost and dates 1996.
Does show wear and tear from age. Unsure if the paint is sealed or food grade, so it may just be more of a decorative piece instead of for actual use. It does have a small leather hanger on the top for easy display.
