This is a Le Creuset 2nd Choix item so there may be some imperfections here & there such as stray ink marks or unevenness in the glaze. I cannot find any glaring flaws nor defects or else I would point them out. Underside of canister has a black notch/mark to indicate "2nd Choix" quality- this was done at the Le Creuset factory and is NOT damage.
