MOMOSE Custom Craft Guitars are produced in limited quantities—entirely by hand—by a select team of craftsmen recognized for their mastery of the techniques established by Yasuo Momose, one of Japan's premier guitar makers. Their reliable quality and distinctive sound, hallmarks of Japanese craftsmanship, have earned the support of numerous musicians.
This particular instrument is a "one-off" model featuring a Japanese Tochi wood top, personally selected on-site by our staff.
It employs a classic combination of a two-piece Alder body and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, delivering a refined, composed tone characterized by rich, sustaining mid-low frequencies and a smooth attack.
The guitar features an SSH pickup configuration utilizing Momose's original VS-1 and BEANO pickups. This setup offers versatile sound shaping capable of handling a wide range of genres, combining the clear, delicate tones typical of single-coil pickups with the thick, brilliant sound of a humbucker.
This shop-order model is finished in a "Blue-Burst" that exquisitely blends base-coat staining—designed to accentuate the natural figuring of the Tochi wood—with a secondary color layer, all complemented by a Cloud Pearl pickguard.
