An antique solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts, or a little higher) giardinetto ring; beautifully and delicately modelled as a posy of 'forget me not' flowers, set with turquoise cabochons.
A scarce little ring - wearable and highly collectable too!
CONDITION: All original and generally very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. A few turquoise possibly old replacements, tiny one missing - please see pictures. A small break to framework at back, both very simple and easy jobs. Probably had a tiny heart dangling at the base. DATE/MARKS: Around 1800/20. Not marked. DIMENSIONS: Head 14 x 10 mm overall (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter. RING SIZE: M or 6 US (easily sized). WEIGHT: Approx. 1.3 grams.
