This is a Vintage MCM Raymor Bitossi Italian Art Pottery Morphine Apothecary Drug Culture Jar.  Measuring 7" high x 4 5/8" wide.  The mustard yellow and beige color art pottery jar has MORPHINE impressed on the front.  

This Morphine apothecary jar was designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi and imported to the US by the Raymor company.  Bitossi Ceramiche was founded in 1921 by Guido Bitossi in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy.  Aldo Londi  joined the company in 1946 and served as artistic director for over half a century. Londi revolutionized modern Italian design by transitioning handcrafted, artisanal pottery into the modernist design conversation

Marked on the underside Italy 27/2750. 

 Condition is very, very good.  There are some small  glaze chips to the side of knob on the lid and a tight hairline on the edge that does not go through to the underside of the lid and a possible repair to this section of the lid, see our last 5 photos.
