Superb American coin silver mug, made circa 1850.

This is a beautiful coin silver mug with a rolled top rim above a band of beading and straight sides with a matching fine band of beading around the base.

The body of the mug has chased flowers on their stems and an oval vacant cartouche to the front.

The mug has a flat sided handle.

The mug is 3-7/8 inches / 98 mm wide to the back of the handle and it stands 3-1/4 inches / 82 mm tall.

The mug weighs 136 grams.

The underside has clear hallmarks and COIN for coin silver.

The mug is in excellent condition.
