This is a scarce an original vintage promotional booklet published by the Canadian Pacific Railway Department of Colonization and Development. Distributed at the prestigious British Empire Exhibition at Wembley in 1924 and 1925, this 54-page historical item was explicitly designed to encourage British immigration and settlement in Western Canada. The booklet features the famous Canadian Muscles artwork on the front cover and the iconic beaver logo on the reverse. Inside, it contains a fascinating Historical Sketch of Canada, regional economic profiles including the Province of Ontario, details on assisted farm worker migration schemes, and a spectacular two-page centerfold world map showing the global transportation network from Europe to Asia. It is also filled with rare period photographs showcasing the luxury interiors of the Canadian Pacific Atlantic Steamships fleet and early views of Banff. The booklet is complete and remains in good vintage condition with clean interior pages and a secure spine. It offers an incredible piece of social history for collectors of Canadian railroad ephemera, immigration history, or Wembley Exhibition memorabilia.
