Album description:
Nachtkreatur’s debut album delves deeply into the abyss of dehumanisation. "Kreaturenkrankheit" is no ordinary work, but a relentless glimpse into the madness and horror hidden beneath the human surface.
Each song tells the story of a distinct creature – trapped between pain, hunger and decay. Themes such as cannibalism, mental breakdown and physical degeneration are powerfully conveyed through the raw sound, distorted soundscapes and haunting screams.
The album deliberately leaves plenty of room for interpretation. At times it feels like a dark ritual, at others like the confession of a being that has long since lost all trace of humanity.
The unpolished production emphasises the instinctive nature of the music: no gloss, no perfection – only darkness, rage and the unsettling beauty of decay.
Kreaturenkrankheit is more than just music. It is an experiment in pain, a journey through the deepest shadows of existence – a manifesto for all those who do not fear the darkness, but find their truth within it.

Nachtkreatur is a German experimental black metal project dedicated to the depths of the human psyche and the fascination with decay. Founded by Graf Ares and Køldbrynger, the band combines raw aggression, atmospheric darkness and an uncompromising, unsettling aesthetic. Nachtkreatur’s music is an expression of inner turmoil – a ritual of pain, rage and madness. Lyrics about dehumanisation, mental illness and life as a cursed creature run like a thread through their work. With their debut album Kreaturenkrankheit, Nachtkreatur create a soundscape that oscillates between frenzy and despair – raw, honest and born deep from the darkness.
