This is a collection of reference materials on characters and typography, published to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Shaken, a company known for manufacturing and developing photo-typesetting machines and typesetting systems, and producing and selling typefaces and font products. This book reconfigures calendars titled "Moji no Seitaiken" (Ecosystem of Letters), which Shaken had published since 1975. It is augmented with a vast collection of character diagrammatic materials gathered by graphic designer Kohei Sugiura. Discussions on characters by Shuntaro Tanikawa, Shinichi Nakazawa, and Shinichi Kusamori are also included. The planning and composition were handled by Shaken and Kohei Sugiura, with commentary by Seigo Matsuoka. Condition: The slipcase has scuffs and dirt, with damage to the top of its spine. There are faint water stains on the hardcover's back cover and spine. The inner pages are in good condition.
