The Besson Sovereign BE968J is a professional Bb compensating euphonium based on the renowned Sovereign BE968 series.
The BE968J was developed as a special variation with design features intended to improve response, tonal focus, and control.
The four-valve compensating system improves intonation in the lower register, allowing for more accurate and reliable performance across a wide range.
■Condition■
There are signs of use from normal play, including polishing marks, light scratches, and discoloration.
There is a small dent on the bell/body section, but no major noticeable dents have been observed.
The instrument has been serviced by a professional repair shop, including internal cleaning, piston adjustment, main tuning slide adjustment, and repair of stuck tuning slides.
Compared with the BE967 from the same Sovereign series, this model features a slightly smaller bell, providing a lighter playing feel and easier handling.
It offers the warm and embracing tone characteristic of Besson instruments, while producing a slightly more focused and defined sound compared with the BE967 series.
