Early 19th Century Sketch study of cumulus clouds over an extensive landscape. oil on canvas. Excellent quality and condition early English landscape study of an expansive sky with grey cloud passing over a distant town. The view is typical of Constable's work, verso is a wax seal with a coat of arms similar to the Constable family. The work requires further research for more formal authentication. Presented in an antique gilt frame.
