Unusual Antique Needle Threader French * Circa 1890s This
very
unusual needle threader is one you don't see very often. I've only has
2 before this. It has 4
needle funnels of different sizes and a hanging handle at the top. Some
only have 3 funnels. It is made of a lead like alloy that doesn't
attract a magnet. This one is special as it came with the instruction sheet in French. A flat steel piece sticks out from the side and the illustration shows that this is for threading yarn needles. The
needle fits eye first into one of the forward-facing channels, and the
thread is pushed
down through the corresponding funnel hole at the top (into the eye)
and it really works.
It measures 1 3/4" high x 1 1/8" wide x 1/2" deep.
