2026 $2 Dawn Service Coloured UNC coin

Each year of the 25th April, vast numbers of Australians mark ANZAC Day by attending a dawn service.  An evocative way to commemorate the sacrifices of those who have served their country, Dawn Services are held throughout Ausdtralia, as well as at some key commemorative sties overseas - such as Gallipoli, where the original ANZACs landed in 1915.

In 2020 and 2021, when most could not attend physical services due to COVID Restrictions, Australians still partook in the tradition by gathering in their drieways in the early hours of the morning.  This reflects the enduring place that the Dawn service holds in our collective consciousness.
