Upper section: Orders and medals of the Austrian Empire
1: Order of Leopold (Österreichisch-kaiserlicher Leopold-Orden) – Grand Cross badge on its bow ribbon.
2: Order of Leopold Knight's Cross (lower class).
3 & 4: Military Order of Maria Theresa (Militär-Maria-Theresien-Orden) – The highest Austrian military decoration. No. 3 shows the cross surmounted by the Austrian crown, and No. 4 shows the Knight's Cross bearing the motto "VIRTVTI".
5: Order of the Iron Crown (Orden der Eisernen Krone) – The Austrian double-headed eagle resting on the Lombard Iron Crown.
6: Order of Saint Stephen of Hungary (Königlich Ungarischer Sankt Stephans-Orden) – Grand Cross badge attached to its grand sash.
7: Order of the Crown of Prussia or associated Russian Order (Eagle badge).
8 & 9: Army Cross of 1813/1814 (commonly known as the Cannon Cross or *Kanonenkreuz*) – Awarded to soldiers who participated in the campaigns against Napoleon. It bears the inscriptions "BELGIS LIBERATORIBUS" and "GRATI PRINCEPS ET PATRIA".
10 & 11: Civil and military merit medals bearing the likenesses of the emperors (notably Joseph II and Francis I).
12 & 13: Medal for Bravery (Tapferkeitsmedaille) – Bearing the historic inscription "DEN TAPFEREN" (To the Brave). Lower section: Orders and medals of the Kingdom of Prussia
1: Star of the Order of the Black Eagle (Schwarzer Adlerorden) – Prussia's most prestigious order, recognizable by its star shape and famous central motto: "SUUM CUIQUE" (To each his own).
2: Links from the collar of the Order of the Black Eagle – Featuring alternating Prussian eagles and the royal monogram.
3 & 4: Order of the Red Eagle (Roter Adlerorden) – Grand Cross (No. 3), with eagles nestled in the angles of the white cross, and the Knight's Cross (No. 4).
5 & 6: Lower classes and variants of the Order of the Red Eagle (3rd and 4th class).
7: Order *Pour le Mérite* – The renowned highest Prussian military decoration for bravery in the face of the enemy. It is a cross of a distinctive blue (represented here by engraving hatch marks) bearing the inscription "Pour le Mérite."
8: Military Medal of Honor (Militär-Ehrenzeichen) – Dated 1793, bearing the monogram "FWR III" (Frederick William III).
9: The Iron Cross of 1813 (Eisernes Kreuz) – Established by King Frederick William III during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon; it features the monogram "FW," oak leaves, and the date 1813.
10: The Kulm Cross (Kulmer Kreuz) – A decoration sewn directly onto the uniform, awarded to Russian allies who distinguished themselves at the Battle of Kulm in 1813. It is entirely black (inspired by the design of the Iron Cross). 11: 1813–1814 War Commemorative Medal (Kriegsdenkmünze) – Made from the bronze of cannons captured from the French enemy, bearing the sacred inscription "Gott war mit uns, ihm sey die Ehre" (God was with us; to Him be the glory) surrounding the dates 1813 / 1814.
