Rollin "Bud" Bodley (1942–2018) was a celebrated American glass artist and master glassblower whose career grew out of the pioneering studio glass movement at the Toledo Museum of Art during the 1960s and 1970s. Renowned for his exceptional craftsmanship, he is especially admired for his sought-after Space Windows and beautifully detailed art glass paperweights.
Bodley trained alongside some of the era's most influential glass artists and also worked at Owens-Illinois, where he contributed to the development of fiber optics and laser glass technology. In 1977, he and his wife, Sandy, opened The Glass Apple in Sylvania, Ohio, a studio and gallery where he created his distinctive works through 1987.
His signature style is instantly recognizable, featuring suspended floral designs, shimmering iridescent "fire opal" colors, delicate controlled bubbles, and crystal-clear lead glass that gives each piece remarkable depth and brilliance.
