This product is a 1980 Topps baseball trading card (#720) featuring long-time Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer, Carl Yastrezemski. This vintage card is part of the 726-card base set manufactured by Topps in 1980. At age 40, "Yaz" still batted .275 in the 1980 season while clobbering 15 home runs. Yaz played his entire 23-year career with the Red Sox and was an 18-time All-Star. He is a member of the 3,000-hit club and has the distinction of being the first American League player in that club to also record more than 400 career round-trippers. As one of the top players of his era, Yastrezemski was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989 in his first year of eligibility, garnering 94% of the vote. In sharp condition, this card would certainly represent a fine addition to any sports card collection.
