Triplite

Historically, it was often mistaken for other manganese minerals like Rhodochrosite or even Garnet, but its unique phosphate chemistry sets it apart. It represents a specific environmental "sweet spot" where manganese and iron are concentrated alongside fluorine. In the world of fine gems, it is celebrated for its rarity in a transparent state, standing as a "connoisseur's gem" that represents the rugged, complex chemistry of the Earth's continental crust.
