Malloch’s Patent Sidecaster Reel 3 7/8” Dia x 2 1/8” Wide Brass Vintage with Leather Case

Vintage, probably antique, yet still in smooth working condition. The winding, ratchet, casting and spool release mechanisms work well. The original handle is intact without splits or chips. The foot is not filed. Original patina is retained and body has no major dents or scratches with only minor signs of use and wear. The case was not the original supplied with the reel but is included for historic interest. It is intact except the closing strap has lost its end and it carries a monogram which is believed to be WDJ.
