Charles John Watson was born at Norwich on 31 August 1846 died 1927
Charles was amongst one of the earliest Fellows of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, joining after the ‘Allcomers’ exhibition in Spring 1881. A painter and etcher of many subjects, with his landscapes focused on Northern France, Venice and Norfolk and was a medal winner at Chicago’s International Exhibition in 1893 and in Paris in 1900
