rare and important print
most likely printed around or before 1920
it was printed by Emile Maeyens for his art supply shop De Distel in Antwerp
at the end of WW1 he became involved with the avant garde and avant-garde magazines (like Het Overzicht)
and their artists (like Michel Seuphor and the Belgian Constructivists like Peeters and Maes) but also with artists like Apollinaire
this print comes from the unsold prints from the Maeyens estate
he started his shop directly after the German attacks in 1917
(these prints are often marked at the reverse with the Maeyens stamp print)
worldwide there is no other copy on sale, but would usually cost about €400 ($500)...
the print is in good condition
paper slightly browned, as always
some folds and one small tear at the right edge
