HISTORY OF COIN

Parataraja dynasty Koziya, c. 230-270 AD AE didrachm (3.14g,20mm).

Obverse: King standing right in Kushan style, wearing tiara and holding scepter

Reverse: Bold swastika turning right, with Kharoshthi legend around Koziyasa Kozanaputasa Paratarajasa (of Koziya, son of Kozana, king of the Paratas).

This is the standing type first issued by Koziya.  A numismatic innovation, this was the first Paratararaja coin type to depict the king standing in the style of Kushan emperors.
