Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Double Trouble Vintage Cherry Sunburst #222550285 [4.29kg]

Limited Production Model!

The classic Les Paul Standard, a timeless classic since its initial release, has established itself as a staple model.

Currently, two versions are available: the "50s" series, which replicates the specifications of the 1950s, and the "60s" series, which replicates the specifications of around 1960.

This particular model replicates the late 1960s specifications, featuring a thinner neck profile. It boasts a slim, highly playable neck shape and a clear sound with excellent treble projection.

The set-neck construction, similar to violins and acoustic guitars, and the two-layer body construction of a maple top and mahogany back are key to the Les Paul's distinctive, deep, and rich tone.

By eliminating the weight relief previously used, this solid-body construction results in a more vintage-inspired, robust sound.

The clean tone is clear and crystal-clear, with minimal distortion even when heavily distorted, making it suitable for all genres.

When the "P.A.F." pickup was introduced in 1957 and the specifications of the "Les Paul" were established, it initially featured a gold top finish. In 1958, the name was first changed to "Les Paul Standard," and the cherry sunburst color was adopted. The 1959 model is particularly popular, and remains the most sought-after reissue model from the Custom Shop.

The neck shape is a thin C-shape, scanned from a vintage guitar, resulting in a finish befitting the "Les Paul Standard 60s."

While concerns about the sound impact of a thin neck might arise, it surprisingly contributes to a clearer low end, preventing muddiness.

The pickups are uncovered double cream [Burstbucker 61], characterized by a bright and sustained high-frequency sound. They replicate the stable coil turn count and consistent tone of 1960s pickups, and the use of Alnico V magnets, as used at the time, is another key feature.

Even when playing chords, the sound has good separation, and although the output itself isn't particularly high, it has a wide range.

The circuit board wiring has been eliminated, and it now features hand-wired wiring and Orange Drop capacitors in the tone circuit.

Compared to ceramic capacitors, the sound has a smoother, less harsh tone, and you can really feel the added richness and depth.

The finish is an all-lacquer finish using traditional "nitrocellulose lacquer," so this guitar will develop a beautiful patina over time.

The "Les Paul Standard" is a guitar everyone dreams of owning! Why not try one out?!
