STUNNING VERY RARE & LARGE MONART AVENTURINE INCLUDED

GREEN GLASS VASE

This is a superb quite large, heavy, and early piece of cased artware glass made by Monart / Salvador Ysart at the Moncrieff factory Perth, Scotland and dates, I would guess, from the early 1930's. In a very large (I’ll photograph it with a Coke can to give it some scale) almost Chinese ovoid form with a wide everted neck rim it is depicted in a predominantly green with superb Aventurine inclusions to the rim and upper body. It has the usual Monart wheel ground polished and raised pontil - again see photographs and details.

It measures 9 3/4" (25cm) H x 8 3/4" (22.25cm) W at its shoulder approx; and is in good condition with no defect to report apart from, if you are extremely picky, some tiny surface frits to the edge of raised pontil caused from its grinding process and obviously factory done  - see photograph.

This is a lovely large piece of early period art glass from one of the best of British makers which is in a lovely condition and with a realistic, yet still low, start price should get considerable interest from all collectors.

* Apologies for the poor colour rendition of the photographs, the colour is more muted than the rest probably because of the Aventurine, It's closer to the last photograph.

** Overseas customers please take note : the weight (or size) of the item is well over the 2kg small parcel limit, therefore the shipping cost is a guide line only and will depend on the destination country. Therefore, the international shipping is an estimate, albeit a relatively accurate one (the item has been weighed with a suitable box and the price quotation taken from the net, however there may be a small variation in price depending on the destination). I have taken Germany as the European destination and the USA as the world #1, and Japan as the world #2 zones, however if you live in say, Australia or the far east, the cost may be a few pounds more  - so please wait for your invoice before payment.
To facilitate the completion of the courier's paper work could the customer please forward :
