Brand new and unbuilt.

The heavy category of cars was reserved for those with an engine capacity of 3,000cc or over. The main producer of these types of vehicle was Horch-Auto Union. The eight cylinder V8 Auto Union/Horch 108 type engine was 3,823cc and gave out 81HP at 3,600rpm.

This vehicle remained in service throughout WWII in all theatres with many different modifications including this Anti Aircraft variant.

The Kfz70 was a modified Horch 108 with a flatbed mount for the Flak30 and fold down sides for easier traverse. Earlier variants were simply a Flak30 mounted on a Horch 108.

The 2cm Flak30 was developed by Rheinmetall from an earlier Kreigsmarine design, the C/30. It was capable of firing at around 120rpm. The Flak30 was operated by a foot pedal which fired the gun and could be set to automatic or semi-automatic fire. The Flak30 was also used effectively against ground targets and was adopted as the standard German light flak gun in 1939. Its effective range was 2,200m.

Whether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a classic. Not to be missed.
