Ephemera our window to the past: The firm, established in 1910 by A. V. Cauger, became known as the Kansas City Film Ad Company around 1920 reflecting a change from glass slides to animated commercial films.  By 1923, the Kansas City Slide Company (often operating as the Kansas City Film Ad Company) was a producer of animated motion picture advertisements for local theaters with a transition from glass slides to film animation. Wieda was an employee of the company when Walt Disney worked there from 1920- 1922. Walt Disney left in the spring of 1922 around the same time he launched his own venture, Laugh-O-Gram Films, which declared bankruptcy in October 1923.By 1923 Wieda now owed KC Slide Co. after closing on the same sometime in 1922. KC Slide records are now with the SHSMO KCMO on the University of Missouri-Kansas City Campus. Though Walt Disney left his employment there in 1922 to start his own firm, the company directly influenced the techniques Disney used to create the "Alice Comedies" in 1923. CONDITION: The letterhead has typical letter folds. The item has a slightly bent corner and some toning visible in the image. There is a flaw at the bottom margin. It is in very good condition  The "EBAY ITEM" thing is just a loose piece of paper and is not attached to this advertisement that comes from printed matter.

The approximate size of this letterhead is 8 1/2" X 11".
