SONY's flagship-class closed-back Hi-Res headphones, released in October 2018 as the successor to the acclaimed MDR-Z7. Inherits core technology from the Signature Series MDR-Z1R, including the Fibonacci-patterned grille and 4.4mm balanced connection.

Features newly developed 70mm HD driver units with aluminum-coated Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) diaphragms. The magnet circuit is double the size of the original MDR-Z7, delivering superior driving power and high-resolution audio reproduction.
