HUMOROUS POETRY - Year 2 Teaching Pack

This  pack provides material for you and your pupils to explore a range of humorous poems. Get the children to learn some by heart and speak them in a way that engages listeners.

You get:

A SAUCEPAN ON HIS HEAD and other nonsense poems (Pub. Walker) – introduces a collection of weird and wonderful characters whose crazy antics will engage and entertain (good as new condition paperback).

LESSON PLANS – referenced to the learning objectives, from English Curriculum 2014, for Year 2 and including differentiated group activities. The plans focus on:

- spelling patterns in rhyming words;

- the use of _ed and _ing endings;

- writing short poems.

PUPIL WORKSHEETS and TEXT RESOURCES – to support and reinforce the learning addressed in the lesson plans with copies of poems for class reading and discussion (new).
