IN THEATERS MAY 19, 2006 Based on Dan Brown's runaway bestseller, this nail-biting and erudite thriller concerns a murder mystery that leads to the discovery of an even larger conspiracy within the Catholic Church. Starring Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou.  (eBay AI Description- I think I can do better)

Written by Dan Brown, The DaVinci Code is the first of the trilogy staring Tom Hanks. The movie was released in 2006, but honestly, I don't know when this edition came out- There is some suggestions that it was released in late 2006, but honestly I've never have seen this 3-CD Edition until 3 days ago.  I bought two- being a Brown and Hanks fan, and the original 2 CD's has the movie of course, plus tons of additional footage, including out takes, an interview with Dan Brown- the normal things you would expect.
The 3rd CD includes such as a Book to Screen featurette (interesting), a behind the scene look at the different sets and props- and re-creating the different works of art for the film and plenty more.

This is a great film for any fan of Tom Hanks, Dan Brown or Ron Howard- it really gives you an opportunity to see the behind the scenes on one of the mysteries that still exist today- The Vatican.  Although it's a novel- and no spoilers- as a devout Christian- I thought it was intriguing to say the least.  One of the most interesting scene is when Hanks character, Robert Langton asks the question- If this is all true- does it really change anything?  After all - if we believe Jesus Christ was human, with human frailties is the plot of the movie possible?
Watch it yourself- and ask yourself the same question.
