This is a first edition/first printing hardcover of Jazz by Nobel Prize Winning-author Toni Morrison with dust jacket. Jazz forms the second part of Toni Morrison's trilogy on African-American history, beginning with Beloved (1987) and ending with Paradise (1998). This was Morrison’s most recently published work when she was awarded the 1993 Nobel Prize for Literature. The majority of the narrative takes place in Harlem during the 1920s, but the narrative extends back to the mid-19th-century American South as characters’ pasts are explored. It might sound weird, but I feel some special energy just holding this book.

Condition: VG. DJ is vibrant and glossy with light wear along the top edge, no stains or chips. Boards are intact, binding solid, pages clean other than faint erased pencil marking on first free front end paper with some light tanning consistent with age, No foxing.
