This antique Cherry and Cable butter dish from Northwood, dating back to 1900, is a stunning example of Early American pressed glassware. The gorgeous butter dish features a clear glass color, gold Gilt, and red stain. Made in the United States, this hand painted set showcases the craftsmanship and elegance of early 20th-century glass production. The piece has manganese added to the glass for clarity, which causes the glass to glow a soft yellow color under UV 365 light. It does not contain uranium. This piece is perfect for collectors or those looking to add a touch of elegant charm to their dining table or kitchen decor. The butter dish is in good condition with small chips on the edge of the base where the glass poured over the mold. The chips have been filed so the are less noticeable and not sharp. See pictures for details. I have other listings in this pattern. 6.5" H x 7.5" D. I have other listings in this pattern.
