Description
Gibson Custom Shop 1964 ES-335 Reissue VOS Sixties Cherry [Serial Number: 160112]
A 1964-spec ES-335 has arrived!
This 1964 ES-335 Reissue Model, added to our lineup in 2020, features a slimmer cutaway horn (compared to the 1962 model), ABR-1 nylon saddles, a short pickguard, a medium C-shaped neck profile based on scan data from a vintage instrument, small block inlays, and vintage replica parts—all meticulously crafted specifications.
The neck has an aniline dye finish, which will fade and develop a unique character over time. The neck joint uses a deep joint with hide glue, resulting in excellent overall resonance and a promising sound.
Both the front and rear pickups are Custombucker Alnico III (Unpotted), the same pickups used in the 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul, recreating a vintage-like sound as well as a vintage look.
