The Authentic series is the ultimate reissue model, faithfully reproducing the specifications of Martin's golden age from the 1920s to the 1940s, boasting an overwhelming level of perfection unmatched by others.
The body assembly, neck, fingerboard, bridge, and final adjustments are all handcrafted by skilled, specialized craftsmen.

The top plate uses Adirondack spruce, which produces a powerful and resonant tone.

Adirondack spruce, famous for its excellent acoustic properties and use in pre-war Martin guitars, is now a rare material used only in the Authentic series and limited models in the current lineup.

Furthermore, the bracing has been heat-treated to reproduce the sound of a vintage guitar that has matured over many years, resulting in a further upgrade.

The neck shape, which greatly affects playability, is named "Authentic 1937," and features a T-bar truss rod, a nut width of 44.5mm, and a slightly thicker profile.

Furthermore, the aged finish applied to the details is simply superb; the scratches and dents are so realistically reproduced that they make it seem as if it has been truly well-used, evoking a story of over 80 years of history.

The amber-colored body features realistic weather checking, and the subtly aged tuners, nut, saddle, and bridge pins are also beautifully finished.

【Tone】
When you actually play it, even with a light touch, you can enjoy an overwhelming resonance that seems to resonate throughout the entire body. The simple, warm, and enveloping sustain unique to mahogany, achieved because of this body's resonance, will greatly change the image many people have of D-18s they've played before.

[Condition]
The neck is currently straight with no warping, bending, or undulation.
The string height, using medium gauge strings, is approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret, which is a standard height.
The frets, saddle, and nut show almost no wear and there are no dents.
There is no swelling, sinking, or warping of the top plate.
Furthermore, there is no repair history, and all parts are original.
