HEAVY FLOW TEA

HEAVY FLOW TEA

aka: Excess Bleeding Tea

Helps reduce excessive menstrual flow while supporting the uterus and easing discomfort during heavy cycles.

100% Organic ingredients: Raspberry Leaf, Shepherd’s Purse, Yarrow, Cramp Bark, White Peony Root

About Formula

This herbal tea is formulated for women experiencing unusually heavy menstrual flow. It is traditionally used to help slow excessive bleeding, support proper uterine tone, and ease discomfort during heavy cycles.

The formula is especially helpful for:

• Heavy or flooding menstrual flow

• Periods that come with excessive bleeding

• Needing short-term support during the heaviest days

• Supporting uterine tone before the cycle begins

• Reducing discomfort associated with heavy flow

This tea is best used short-term, either starting a few days before the cycle or during the heaviest days of menstruation. It is designed as a targeted support tea rather than a long-term daily formula.

About Herbs

Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) – A classic uterine tonic traditionally used to strengthen and tone uterine tissue, helping the uterus function more efficiently during the menstrual cycle.

Shepherd’s Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) – One of the most well-known herbs traditionally used to help reduce excessive bleeding and support normal menstrual flow.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) – A strong astringent herb traditionally used to support healthy circulation and help control excessive bleeding.

Cramp Bark (Viburnum opulus) – Traditionally used to relax the uterus and ease cramping, especially during heavy and uncomfortable cycles.

White Peony Root (Paeonia lactiflora) – Traditionally used to help regulate and moderate menstrual flow while supporting overall female reproductive health.

Together, these herbs create a focused blend designed to support women during times of heavy menstrual flow by combining uterine tonics, astringents, and soothing herbs.

How to Take

Use 1–2 teaspoons of the loose-leaf tea per cup.

Instructions:

• Add hot boiling water and cover

• Steep for at least 15–20 minutes or longer for a stronger brew

• Drink 2–3 cups daily

Timing:

• Start 2–4 days before the expected cycle

• Continue during the heavy days of menstruation

• May also be used when bleeding is already heavy

Duration: This is a short-term support tea and is not typically used as a daily long-term formula.

This tea may be paired with Female Balance Tea for broader hormone and cycle support, especially when heavy flow is part of a larger female hormone imbalance pattern. It may also be combined with Female Health Formula, PMS Tea, or Hot Flash Tea when additional support is needed.

Tips & Notes

Dietary guidelines: Avoid hot spices and strongly heating foods during heavy cycles, especially chili pepper, garlic, too much onion, and too much ginger. It is also wise to avoid other strongly stimulating or blood-thinning herbs and foods if bleeding is already excessive. Avoid alcohol, iced drinks, and heavily processed foods.

Focus on warm, simple, cooked meals that are not too spicy. Favor nourishing foods, adequate rest, and a calmer routine during the heaviest days.

Dietary changes can make a significant difference. Avoid aggravating foods and support the body with nourishing meals during the cycle.

Note: Advanced herbal teas are highly concentrated and more potent than typical teas or single herbs. These blends are designed to work synergistically and provide targeted support for specific concerns.
